Stanton Warriors
Saturday 28 November
Get your dancing shoes on and head up to the Scott Arms on Saturday 28 November as Stanton Warriors headline another Funky Lemonade night of live DJs
Stanton Warriors are a British DJ and production duo consisting of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley. Originally from the West Country, the duo have performed internationally with their infamous Stanton Sessions parties in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Now based in West London, they run a successful record label, Punks, from their recording studio.
Named after, of all things, manhole covers made by Stanton Ironworks (the Stanton Session Vol 3 mix album was released in a limited edition manhole cover tin), their custom-made record player needles are popular with DJs for their ability to scratch records.
The graffiti style artwork (and their SW logo) seen on many of their releases and merchandise is the work of several renowned graffiti artists, SheOne and Rough, the latter of which won a design award for the artwork on the Stanton Warrior’s single, ‘Da Antidote’.
The Stantons will headline a two-hour set and will be supported by Specifik, Cursa & L-Roy (Cult.45) Stormski and Cut La Funk. The Funky Lemonade crew have put on a few nights at the Scott Arms over the last few years and every one has been a belter.
Tickets are priced at £15 for Early Birds (these are expected to sell quickly so don’t hang about) with Standard Entry at £20 (with discounted rate of £17.50. Available online from Eventbrite, grab yours while you can.
